My canvas work is done with acrylic paints, soft pastels, oil pastels, and a whole lot of water and mediums. All my canvas paintings come with their sides painted a solid color and wired and ready for hanging.
These small pieces that I have dubbed “meditation marks” are a creative way for me to connect with clients on a personal level. For these pieces I ask clients what they would like me “meditate” on while I make their marks. I’ve had the honor of hearing very personal and special stories from people that I then get to focus on while I create this simple design in the colors of their choice. These are very relaxing to create and when I am finished I typically write a letter to the clients sharing what came up for me emotionally or visually as I made their marks.
All my works on paper are done with the same supplies as my canvas paintings, but instead of canvas I paint on watercolor paper that is taped down on to an art board. This creates a striking border around the edges! Paper paintings are great if you’d love one of my pieces but don’t have a big enough budget. These pieces are best displayed if framed.
These custom abstract flower portraits are a really special way to memorialize flowers from a special day in your life. Maybe you held these flowers on your wedding day, or maybe they helped you say goodbye to a loved one, or maybe they were in your grandmother’s garden. Wherever they come from I use the image you send me to interpret them abstractly and create what you see here.
These pieces are done on my iPad with an Apple Pencil in the Procreate app and are my go to when I am traveling!
